AQUARIUS RISING SUN

     Aquarius is an independent artist, poet, singer and songwriter.  She started writing poetry in early elementary school when given a class assignment. Through one of her reading and writing assignments she uncovered a love for sharing her story and telling it with rhythm and rhyme.

 

     At age 12, Aquarius was very shy about most things, especially singing, still she joined her middle school choir with high hopes of being placed in the Soprano section. Much to her disappointment, after only speaking a few words, her choir teacher immediately placed her in the Alto section. Continuing Choir into high school, she found the songs to be quite boring, she longed to sing songs that made her feel something and to play multiple instruments, but never felt like she had a voice or fit in to those spaces. Athletics, however, came very naturally to her.  She was immediately & overwhelmingly  welcomed and highly recognized. Without effort, she flowed into those spaces and grew there throughout her school years.

     Still day dreaming about music, Aquarius would find quiet space in her bedroom, the library, or wherever she could to hum and write melodies for her poems, turning them into songs. At age 19, she discovered that she really wanted to become a professional singer and talked her twin sister into pursuing a record deal.  She believed they had what it takes.

 

     At age 22, she and her sister had received offers they declined due to disagreements regarding the monetary expectations outlined in the contract.

     At 23, Aquarius gave birth to her second child, postponing her plans in music to focus on motherhood and being a wife.  Unseen challenges kept her from returning to the music industry,  but she continued to write and create music in her bedroom which is one of her favorite things to do. 

​

     Born February 1st of 1978,  Aquarius is now 48 yrs young.

Her children are grown and she is no longer married to anything or anyone except music and herself.  Again, she is giving herself permission to flow towards her dreams, vowing with everything she has learned, to go where she is spiritually guided. 

 

     Sharing her art & stories, she goals to inspire others. She hopes the world will tap into their courage and  unapologetically, give themselves permission to follow their dreams, flowing towards their callings, releasing who or what has wounded them or kept them from it.  She sends the world love in frequency to heal, cry out the pain, celebrate the journey and move forward, while loving & protecting each self greatly, spreading forgiveness when it is possible and wise, with the absolute drive to never give up! Allowing it all to be water under the bridge.
